take note that the "battleorder.bo" and "ground target.tgt" files are now stored into vacmi server and will be
automatically loaded at vacmi connection,no need to select the files anymore in MP

Section 1 FIRST INSTALL and ACTIVATION

FIRST INSTALL
Installation is straightforward,follow installer interface prompts checking which aircraft
should have the vACMI client activated.
Once installed refer to the enclosed files to properly perform the COM ports connection settings
Note: install vACMI checking one or more airplanes of interest,
presently below airplanes are vACMI compatible:
- SSW F-104S "Starfighter"
- SSW FRF-104G "Starfighter"
- SSW AV-8B "Harrier"
- REPUBLIC F-84f "Thunderstreak"
- PANAVIA P200 "Tornado"

FIRST RUN and ACTIVATION CHECK-UP:
1-start Sim (P3D/FSX)load Airplane (F104S-G/Av8/)start flight in order to obtain the .ssw file in the Simulator root directory,end flight and exit Sim
2-Send the generated "sswks......vACMI.ssw" file to staff@102virtual.org to receive the .reg key file
3-Copy the received "sswks......vACMI.reg" file in the Sim root directory and doubleclick on it to write the registry
4-Start Sim (P3D/FSX) load Airplane (F104S-G/Av8/) start flight
5-Hit shift+7 (f104),or shift+6 (Harrier) and compare the pop-up window to the pic below,(uncorrect activation gives a numbered ONLY ground targets list)
6-A correct activation gives a numbered AND named ground targets list

here below, the picture of shift+7 pop window to check if it is correctly installed and activated.

the two icons show:
- vACMI activated, activation occurs within 30" after aircraft has been loaded.
- used in OFFLINE mode.
the target list shows (still undocumented):
- correct loading of the ground target list (indirectly a correct dll.xml call to load the dll at P3D start)
- none target selected
- selecting a target will direct vACMI to guide GBU12 on the selected target if dropped within correct flight parms (HARRIER only).
- also selecting a target and dropping an unguided bomb will make vACMI to log the CEP (Circular error probability) (ALL PLANES).

LUCE1

you may want to double check the "dll.xml" file
go to : C:\Users\<your.user.name.here>\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D\dll.xml
open it with notepad and make sure it contains the <Launch.Addon> section as shown below,if not just add it and save as dll.xml

<Launch.Addon>
<Name>vACMI</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>"SimSkunkWorks\vACMI\modules\vACMI.dll</Path>
<DllStartName>cvars_init</DllStartName>
<DllStopName>cvars_deinit</DllStopName>

</Launch.Addon>
Section 2 COMPILING THE GROUND TARGETS LIST

This section applies only to GROUND targets,Air targets are automatically toggled and selected by on-board_radar locks-on.
you may want to add/remove ground targets from the list,to do that you have to load and move your aircraft over the target in the Sim.
call up the SSW_airplanes Load-up Panel(Shift+2) and take note of the COORDs that you read in it, you also read here the target Elev (must be compiled in meters on sea level).
exit the sim then go to the "...:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D\SimSkunkWorks\vACMI\ground_targets" directory and use notepad to open "default.tgt"
the parts you need to modify are the sections shown below

[TARGET2]
{
LAT: 44.014185;
LON: 12.615457;
ALT: 14;
NAME: "Rimini/Miramare WSA";
}

Type in the LAT LON coordinates,target ALT,choose a target name accordingly and type it in to see it displayed in the "Shift+7" panel.
Up to 6 targets may be added to the list,make sure the [TARGET1] [TARGET2] etc. are in sequence.
You may also chose to create as many Groundtarget_lists as you like, just rename (ie: namedbyme.tgt//552strike.tgt//mybombingrun.tgt)
and save each list with the .tgt extension
Section 3 SELECTING THE PROPER MISSION TARGETs

GROUND TARGETS:
to be done before taking off
Let's assume you have several Ground_Targets lists stored in
"...:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D\SimSkunkWorks\vACMI\ground_targets" directory.
Load your SSW_aircraft in the Sim, then in the "Add-on" menu scroll down to "vACMI stored ground targets" and in the next pop-up menu select the proper targets list
(ie: namedbyme.tgt//552strike.tgt//mybombingrun.tgt) for the current mission.
Now you can also double check that the list you have just selected is the proper one.
In the "Add-on" menu scroll down to "vACMI stored ground targets" and in the next pop-up menu select "Shows stored targets".
The message green bar at the top of the Sim Screen will show the tragets of the selected list.
Once airborne you can't change your "targetlist.tgt" but you can select anyone of the target within the current list.

AIR TARGETS:
There is no need for actions to be done since the AIR targets are selected and locked through the On-board Radar.
Just take note that once you fox-twoed your tgt, you HAVE to maintain the tgt selection or the missile will lose the aiming.
Read more in the "Section 5 RELEASE NOTES" below.
Section 4 SAM SITE & BATTLEORDER

The "default_battle_order.bo" file enlist the SAMs and AAAs threat location,their detection and engagement ranges,
plus other details like the activation (True/false line).
Two "default_battle_order.bo" exists and are taken into account.
-One is stored in your local PC into "...Prepar3D\SimSkunkWorks\vACMI\battle_order" folder,
it needs to be manually modified by yourself,adding the new threats,or you may want to keep it as it is.
you may also want to create as many battleorder as needed,(ex.adriatic,north africa,eastern europe etc,)
and choose to load the proper one from the Sim/Add-on menu' before your flight.
It is always active when you fly offline,the only way to deactivate a threat is to set to False the line reading "IS_ACTIVE:",
or set your IFF/SIF to sqwak the code provided.(Italian threat are deactivated by 5011)
-The other one is stored into the MP server and is managed by the vacmi environment.
It is manually updated by the Staff and is downloaded into your MP session when connected to vacmi.
It overrides the local battleorder stored in your PC,the only way not to be engaged is to set your IFF/SIF to sqwak the code provided,
or to fly outside their detection/engagement ranges,(below or away).
It is set to training mode (no damage occurs to your A/C wen it)
or Killing mode (you will randomly suffer one of 4 different failures,additional hits and failures may be experienced)
More infos may be found into the vacmi.pdf file
Section 5 RELEASE NOTES

vACMI has fully operative following weapons:

PROTOTYPE LIMITATIONS

o AIM9 B/L short range air to air missile
o KORMORAN long range anti ship missile (German MarineFlieger FRF-104G only)
o GBU-12 Paveway (Harrier only)
o MK82,MK83,MK84,M117 General purpose bombs
o LR-25,LAU-10,LAU-3 rockets pods.
o B61 special weapon training mock-up (FRF-104G Consortium, F-104S)
o MK-7 special weapon mock-up (F-84F Fighter Bomber)
o Gun (Harrier, F-84F, F-104G, F-104S)

- AIM9 B/L
It requires to have target into the radar, selected and in range (AMI9 growling) to be launched successfully (Betty will confirm this).
Does not requires to have the target locked to be guided on the target, however it cannot loose the selection otherwise the missile won't be guided.
Probability to kill is high if launched when the growling is at highest volume, target survival can be achieved with a very hard break provided one is warned in time of a missile at his six o'clock.
At launch target coordinates, altitude, name and result are logged to log file.

- GBU 12 (Harrier only)
GBU 12 need to have a ground target selected from target list (SHIFT+6), target list is read from a file .tgt contained into SimSkunkWorks\vACMI\ground_targets folder. File are in textual format, syntax is explained into the file.
A Menu Item into Add on.. menu allow to select several different files, each file can contains up to 6 different targets.
GBU12 won't be guided if no target selected
Precision is terrific

- Mark GP bombs
They are unguided weapon, however if a ground target is selected (SHIFT+7) weapon drop time, impact coordinates and circular error will be logged.
